Change in Ratings

Marcus Trescothick’s magnificent double hundred in the final Test of the series between England and South Africa propelled him to the second spot in the CEAT Cricket Rating.

Trescothick shares the no. 2 position with another man not unused to making double hundreds; Graeme Smith. The two left-handers are only one point behind the Prince of Trinidad; Brian Lara.

England’s brilliant show in the recently-concluded Test series; wherein they came from behind to square the series 2-2; have taken the team to the joint first spot in the Team Rating. They share honours with traditional rivals Australia.
