Australia reigns supreme in Ceat Cricket Rating

Mumbai, January 24, 2003 : The awesome Aussies continued to reign supreme in the CEAT International Team Rating for the year 2002-03.

Their comprehensive 10-wicket win over England in the first final of the VB Series earned them 2 points and took their overall tally to 86. Behind them in the Team Rating are the South Africans with 78 points.

There has been no change at the top of the CEAT Player Rating, with Chris Gayle and Rahul Dravid still ranked no.1 and 2 respectively. With hardly any international cricket to be played before the start of the World Cup on 9th Feb, they will continue to dominate the Rating for the next fortnight.

Dravid apart, the other Indians in the top ten are Virender Sehwag (ranked 6th) and Harbhajan Singh (ranked 8th). Harbhajan tops the Bowlers’ table with 54 bowling points.
