Harbhajan
Singh on his way to be on top in CCR Ratings.
Mumbai, November 1, 2002: In the
much awaited Ceat Cricket Ratings, India's Harbhajan
Singh gets elevated to the second spot while India's
most versatile player, Rahul Dravid continues to top
the chart with 64 points. Virendra Sehwag is in the
third position alongwith Michael Vaughan, Chris Gayle
and S. Jayasuriya with 46 points.
The Indian Team still dominates the CEAT
Team Ratings with 52 points. South Africa after their
relatively easy outing against the Bangladeshis have
moved up the ladder to the 4th spot with 30 points.
Sri Lanka with 47 points and Australia with 44 points
round up the second and third spot in the TEAM ratings.
Meanwhile India can further strengthen
its top position in the Ceat Team Ratings with its victory
against the visiting West Indies team.
The annual CEAT Cricket Ratings,
now in their eighth year, take into account all international
cricket played between the 1st of May and the 30th of
April. The Player and Team Ratings for the year 2001-02
were topped by Sri Lankan Muttiah Muralitharan and Australia
respectively.
