With the World Cup that was played in early 2015, ODI cricket was the highlight of the year which saw champions emerge and underdogs rise. Here’s Brett’s choice for ODI Excellence in 2015:


1)      ODI Captain of 2015

AB de Villiers lead from the front in so many ways. A truly freakish cricketer and a terrific captain.

2)      ODI Opener of 2015

Martin Guptill has had a fantastic 2015, he played an enormous part in New Zealand reaching the World Cup final.

3)      ODI Batsman of 2015

AB de Villiers is world class. He stands out in One Day cricket, his ability to play every shot in the book continues to win matches for the Proteas.

4)      ODI All Rounder of 2015

AB De Villiers and  his ability to bat and keep wickets along with his amazing fielding puts him in the all-rounder category.

5)      ODI Spinner of 2015

Imran Tahir has been very consistent for the year with South Africa. Goes under the radar but always plays a role.

6)      ODI Bowler of 2015

Mitchell Starc has been amazing for the Australian bowling set up. His pace and accuracy is deadly and he had a huge impact in Australian World Cup victory.
