Australia topped the CEAT Cricket Team Rating with a tally of 112 points. The Aussies bagged 78 points from 14 Tests and 34 points from 22 one-day internationals. They achieved Test series wins over teams like England and South Africa in the CEAT Year and consolidated their status as the best cricket team in the world. It was the third time that they had topped the CEAT Team Rating, after 1997-98 and 1999-00.
